Tonuco Mountain
Each morning when I go out to feed the horses I am confronted by the power of Tonuco. The mountain rises abruptly out of the river valley, dominating the view for many miles to the north and south. I like to think that my morning routine connects me in some way to the area's ancient inhabitants who also were awed by the forces emanating from the ancient peak.
